vintage finds: buckles and buttons
This little lot came from my favourite charity shop in Bath. I love it because one of the volunteers takes the time to sort through all the donated buckles and buttons and sews them onto recycled pieces of cardboard.
The pieces of cardboard are then placed in a huge tub for customers to delve into. It makes it much easier to shift through the buttons, often displayed in matching sets or colour coordinated groups.
I always enjoy visiting this shop and cannot leave without a haul of buckles and buttons!

StyleSearch Competition
StyleSearch is a competition to find the UK’s most stylish and ethical dressers. The competition is part of Thread, the BBC’s online ethical fashion magazine.
It shows people how to get an eco-glam look through a unique mix of affordable fashion, videos, photo galleries and features.
The competition involve asking fashion lovers to create an ethical look from a selection of organic, fair trade, vintage, recycled or customised clothes.
The winner will get the chance to spend a day with a top stylist at London Fashion Week in September, assisting with the styling of the Thread fashion show.
