Flower Collaboration Project

This is my contribution to the 'Flower Collaboration' organised by Christine of paper and cloth
These little flowers are made from vintage, recycled fabric and white felt.
They will be added to the other contributions from UK based crafters and the whole project will then be donated to a local charity.

Vintage Love: jumble sale jar

I love my latest vintage find, a jar from a jumble sale full of sewing bits and bobs.

All for the bargain price of 40p!

I find this type of find so intriguing. I know that someone has collected these pieces of haberdashery over many years, dipping in to the jar when they needed a particular button or buckle.

I had no idea what was inside, but I was pleasantly surprised to see such a lovely mixture of vintage sewing pieces.

All it needs now is a bit of a clean and I can start using them!

Vintage finds: new addition

I've recently purchased yet another piece to add to the fabric collection.
This is a vintage curtain, perfect for recycling into a new creation.
I just love the vibrant mix of bright blue and crisp white in this fabric, can't wait to use it!

vintage finds: thrift store fabric

Here are some photos of the latest additions to the ever expanding Pouch fabric collection!
There is 1 piece of traditional floral fabric, 2 pieces of cotton check and 1 huge piece of funky vintage fabric (my favourite piece).
I love it when I get a good haul of fabric from my local thrift stores.
Now I just need to work out what to make with it all!
